Our exploration into the world of Czech Lagers has brought us here with the release of Primo 12. This is our last beer of the season with the Moravian heritage Edelweiss malt from @sugarcreekmaltco . This beer is the bigger and slightly richer version of our Anytime Pivo.

We decided to keep the boil steps fairly short as we wanted to break down the malt and deliver some additional rich flavors, but we still wanted to maintain a pilsner that is quite light and crisp. We layered the hop additions with hand selected Czech Saaz hops for some delightful spicy notes to compliment gentle bread dough and hay that this malt delivers. Clocking in at 4.8%, this pilsner is Primo!

We commissioned the super talented @joshraulerson to come up with this incredibly clean artwork. This will pretty much be a tasting room exclusive so that we can justify the extremely labor intense process utilized to deliver this delicious beer.🍺🍺

We had an absolute blast of a weekend up in Philly at the Logjammin Fest by @humanrobotbeer! These guys really how to put on a fest. It was amazing to get to pour our lagers with some of the best in the country. So many great humans at this fest with so much passion for lager. Truly a beautiful thing.

Even more exciting, we gave the labels a little makeover. This gose is made with oysters, coriander, and sea salt in the kettle and then we hit it with fresh lemon zest at the end of fermentation.

We are excited to present Drench Grodziskie. This is a style we have long wanted to dabble in and we finally got the nerve to just go for it. This beer utilizes a Sainnhus Polish Grodziskie oak smoked wheat malt from the smoked malt gurus over at @sugarcreekmaltco. We blended this with their Beechwood cold smoked pilsner malt to mellow the intense smokey character a little.

As per usual these days, this lager got a single decoction mash. We then hopped in the kettle with a blend of polish Lubelski hops and Czech Saaz hops. We also cranked up our bittering addition to a little to give this beer a nice crisp punch. We then fermented nice and cold with our lager yeast followed by conditioning in our oak foeder. Lastly, because this beer is often referred to polish champagne, we bumped the carbonation up a little to give it some effervescence.

If you don't enjoy smoked beer, try one of our other beers we have available. This is not the one for you. However, if you get down with Rauchbier we think you will crush this beer.
